    Job Summary:

    The two Stage Managers – Training Company each stage manage one outdoor classical play and one workshop production with the same company of actors.  They also co-stage manage the New Works Play Festival featuring the entire company at the end of the season.  In addition to typical stage management duties, the Stage Managers – Training Company also serve as liaisons between the students and the staff, helping communicate successes, difficulties, personnel issues, and opportunities for improvement among the students.  An ideal candidate is confident working closely with students as young as 17 years old, is a friendly and approachable face, has excellent communication skills and project management capabilities, and is excited about juggling multiple responsibilities at once in a fast-paced environment.

    The Sound Technician oversees sound across all venues for the season.  Reporting directly to the Sound Supervisor, the Sound Technician will assist the Sound Supervisor with loading in, cueing each show, running each show, loading out, and more.  All of our presentations across the professional and Training Program season are in development, and therefore require flexibility, patience, and a can-do attitude.  Some projects may require a lot of support, some may require a simpler “lights up, lights down” approach, and some projects may provide their own Sound Designer.  An ideal candidate can adapt quickly and willingly to fit the needs of each individual project.

    The Production Management Assistants assist the Production Manager and Associate Production Manager with all production aspects of both the professional and Training Program seasons.  Reporting directly to the Production Manager and Associate Production Manager, the Production Management Assistants split their time between the professional season and the Training Program, assisting with load in and load out, technical rehearsals, performances, costume and prop coordination, and maintenance of all theaters, rehearsal studios and classrooms.  The Production Management Assistants are an entry level role for a current student or recent graduate looking to dive head first into a fast paced and exciting theater festival environment.  An ideal candidate is friendly, confident, and enthusiastic about giving everyone involved a great summer experience. Candidates with a valid driver’s license and sewing skills are strongly preferred.
